This post walks through the routine connection to a wireless network from your Windows 7 computer with a wireless network adaptor enabled.  Many offices and small businesses provide wireless networks for employees and guests to connect to the Internet without using cables.

Error Code: N/A

Solution:

• Start>Control Panel> Network and Sharing Center>Change Adaptor Settings

• Right-click Wireless Network Connection, select Connect/Disconnect

• In the Available Wireless Networks windows, select your desired network and choose Connect.

• If prompted, enter the Network Security Key (passphrase, WEP/WPA key), click OK.

• To verify the connection, click on the Wireless Connections icon in the bottom right corner of the display.  Your desired connection should show Connected.
